We created retractable panelling doors with amazing red leather upholstery for Superior Grill New Orleans, These doors open and close to create a private space within the restaurant.
Reupholstery & Restoration Projects
As an intern at DeNicola's Furniture and Upholstery, I served as an apprentice to Carl DeNicola, the master upholsterer. This hands-on experience allowed me to gain a profound understanding of furniture anatomy and structure. I took on individual projects, learning to deconstruct, repair, and restore pieces to their former glory while infusing them with a renewed aesthetic appeal. Beyond craftsmanship and creativity, I also developed strong social and communication skills by engaging with clients and team members. Additionally, I became well-versed in the materials and techniques we used, enhancing my expertise in selecting and working with fabrics, tools, and finishes. This internship was an invaluable journey of artistry, learning, and professional growth. Here you'll see projects I've worked on individually as well as projects that were collaborations with teams of incredibly talented upholsters.
